Senior Dental Assistant
It is my job to assist Dr. Crawford in all clinical procedures and to make sure the back office runs smoothly and efficiently. Since 1978, I’ve gotten to see many patients come into our office and leave with beautiful smiles for life. I enjoy working with Dr. Crawford because he incorporates function while he straightens teeth, so our patients can live a pain-free life. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with family, friends, my husband, and our dog, Riley.
I work in our front office where I greet all patients and parents with a friendly smile, schedule their appointments, and accept payments. I love interacting with our patients. Seeing the change after treatment, whether patients have braces for straighter teeth or splint treatment for jaw issues and pain, is very rewarding. Everyone on staff is dedicated to our patients. We are a happy, fun-loving group! We enjoy each other’s company and are a great team. I couldn’t ask for a better job or coworkers! In my spare time I like to be with my son, get together with friends for lunch, travel to the ocean or mountains, and occasionally play a game of pool!
After the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom of two sons and a home-schooling family for several years, I transitioned my home-based office responsibilities to the office. I love seeing our patients on a regular basis and building relationships with the rest of our team as I put together financial arrangements, coordinate the staff, and work at the front office. As Dr. Crawford’s wife, I may be a bit biased, but I truly love the way he cares for patients and his wonderful sense of humor. We’ve been happily married for over 40 years. We are active in our local Christian church, and are currently involved in an unending farmhouse remodeling project.
I work with our new patients to check their insurance eligibility and benefits, post payments, coordinate office marketing, and run our IT system. It’s very gratifying to help patients find ways to pay for their treatment and figure out ways to maximize their insurance benefits. Our office has such a wonderful and friendly atmosphere and it’s great to be a part of helping our patients achieve beautiful straight smiles or get relief from chronic headaches and other TMD symptoms. My wife, Christi, and I were married a few years ago, and we stay pretty busy remodeling our house between camping trips. We have a goldfish named Tyrone, and we’re looking to start a real family in a few years.
